The 21st India-Russia annual summit is all set to begin on Monday, December 6 in which Afghanistan will also be discussed along with regional and defense issues.
The summit will be held between heads of the two states, foreign ministers, and defense ministers.
Both sides are expected to discuss in detail regional security concerns and the situation in Afghanistan.
It is also said that the joint statement will also be issued after the summit to reflect Indias concern over cross-border terrorism and the security implications arising out of the crisis in Afghanistan.
In the meantime, the rising threat of terrorism including groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad are also planned to be discussed.
Both the countries have organized conferences on Afghanistan since the Taliban recapture on August 15.
